Not totally useless, but I wouldn’t open up more than one or two extra slots and wouldn’t upgrade them at all. The only real use I have for the pit is leveling up characters I don’t really care about when they hit cap, like the 4 star food I’m trying to level up to five, or a character that might prove useful one day but don’t feel like using a slot I could be using for food. Put into perspective that’s over 2.5 hours of sitting in the pit. Take advantage of the Gem Mine’s best feature: 500 Gems a month (roughly). You Gem out Masteries for your Starter first (800 Gems) then you max out Gem Mine (1500 Gems). The one true source of Income in Raid is the Gem Mine. If you run 12-3 Brutal with three food that means each run costs you 2.7 energy per food but you gain over 8k XP and 6,000 silver per food. How to Obtain RAID: Shadow Legends Shards Passively. While it does save you energy the cost is time and silver. Problem is that it’s incredibly slow, and requires you to manually kick them over to the next level. Total waste of gems compared to using them to get three or four sets of masteries. I opened all the slots and upgraded each to the second level. Sparring pit is one of the biggest wastes of gems.
